Covid-19

UPDATED 31/03/2021

We take our responsibility to our guests, many of whom are regular visitors and now friends, very seriously and we also have a duty of care to our local community, the NHS & other local key workers to allay concerns regarding the further spread of Coronavirus in our region.

In 2021 we will continue to put in place all the suggested guidelines to ensure you have an enjoyable stay. The majority of these relate to social distancing in our guest facilities. It is in your own interest to PLEASE READ THESE THOROUGHLY before making your booking. Thank you for your understanding.

Track & Trace‘ In line with Government guidelines we will continue to keep pre-booked guest information for the regulation time to assist with Track & Trace purposes. We request that if possible guests scan in using the NHS App on arrival.

Facemasks must be worn in any inside public area on the campsite.

An essential piece of kit!
  • We respectfully request that all Caravans & Motorhomes use their own toilet/shower facilities to relieve the issue of queues in the public areas of the campsite.
We ask on booking that ALL TENTS AND CAMPERVAN campers supply their own toilet/tent with groundsheet for use when our facilities are closed. (There’s no charge for toilet tents). We have a chemical disposal point on site.
  • Our toilets will be OPEN (from 12th April) during the day BUT CLOSED OVERNIGHT to enable us to fit in with enhanced cleaning protocols. Closing times are posted on the facilities doors and times will be reviewed regularly.
  • Between 12th April & 17th May there will restricted use of the facilities. Toilets will be open and you can ‘ book a shower’. This is to enable us to manage the shared facilities area in line with Government guidelines that were updated on 31/3/2021.
Later on we will operate allocated time slots prioritising campers who have provided their own night-time toilet facilities to allow sensible social distancing at all times. Alternate cubicles will continue to be closed to assist with safe distancing. The Doors and windows are kept open during the daytime for best ventilation and to eliminate ‘touch’ issues. Everything will be reviewed regularly.
  • Our disabled access toilet & shower room MUST be pre-booked to enable cleaning management.
  • IF WE ARE ADVISED AT ANY POINT OF A POTENTIAL COVID CASE EITHER ON SITE OR VIA THE TRACK & TRACE SYSTEM OUR FACILITIES WILL BE CLOSED FOR AS LONG AS NECESSARY hence the need for all guests to have a stand-by facility.
  • Shower curtains inside all shower cubicles have been removed. It is advisable that you have a waterproof bag to hang on the back of the cubicle door for your clothing. There are extra clothes hooks outside the individual showers also.
  • Our shared hairdryer is not operating. Non-touch HAND dryers are operational.
  • A voluntary Covid-19 Risk Assessment has been completed. It is to reassure guests that we are working within all COVID distancing, cleaning and hygiene guidelines. HOWEVER we cannot ‘police’ everyone’s own actions and ask that guests use COMMON SENSE in all areas.
  • In 2021 regrettably again our usual camp kitchen extra facilities (shared) are not available from the start of the season. This will be reviewed regularly in line with Government advice. If you need an electric hook-up point option to your unit please note on booking.
  • Sanitiser and distancing signs are around the site. You are asked to sanitise on ENTRY to toilets and to SOAP wash hands on leaving.
  • You need to supply your own washing up bowl, liquid & sponges for use in the hot water wash-up sink area.
  • Our laundry facilities are operational. Just 1 household in the laundry at a time please.
  • Our wetsuit dip is available.
  • We request that you wear PPE gloves when emptying toilets and handling outside water taps. These areas are wiped down regularly and have sanitiser stations attached to them.
  • There is NO ‘basics’ shop this year. You could shop locally, it would be greatly appreciated by the local shop owners. Please DO NOT order supermarket deliveries. These must be prioritised in the local area for the more vulnerable persons.
  • If you are camping with friends/family who are in a separate unit please respect the social distancing rules currently applicable.
  • No guests visitors are permitted on site. Please arrange friend and family meet ups elsewhere.
  • PLEASE, If you have any Symptoms or are self-isolating do not come!
  • If you develop symptoms or are contact traced when with us please ring 111 for advice and inform us, be prepared to leave if safe to do so straight away to go home.
  • BACKPACKERS. Due to the toilet situation Pre-booking will be essential when a toilet night option is currently being looked into.
  • All our usual T&C’s apply. Please ensure you have also read these before making a booking with us. Thank you for your understanding.
