Covid

UPDATED 07/08/2021

We take our responsibility to all our guests, many of whom are regular visitors and now friends, very seriously and we also have a duty of care to our local community, the NHS & other local key workers to allay concerns regarding the further spread of Coronavirus in our region.

We have visitors from all over the country and Covid cases are still prevalent everywhere including Cornwall. We will be KEEPING IN PLACE our basic Covid Safe protocols. The majority of these relate to social distancing & cleanliness in our guest facilities. It is in your own interest to PLEASE READ THESE THOROUGHLY. This INCLUDES the wearing of FACE MASKS in public areas & the restricted entry numbers to our indoor facilities. This is for our sake as the Owners & site helpers, as much as for the sake of ALL of our guests. Please respect our decision if staying or planning to stay with us. Let’s enjoy this Summer in the safest way possible.. Thank you for your understanding.

Track & TraceWe request that guests scan in using the QR code on the main site noticeboard. Thank you

IT MUST BE UNDERSTOOD THAT YOU ARE VISITING OUR PARK AND USING THE FACILITIES AT YOUR OWN RISK.

If you have any concerns re your own health you are advised to take a Rapid Antigen Test BEFORE travelling to Cornwall.

  • Caravans & Motorhomes Guestswe respectfully request that you use your own toilet/shower facilities to relieve possible queues in the public areas.
  • TOILETS – ALL UNITS MUST HAVE THEIR OWN TOILET FACILITY either within a unit or a portaloo toilet tent with groundsheet. (There’s no charge for toilet tents). There’s a site chemical disposal point.
Our toilets will continue to be CLOSED OVERNIGHT throughout 2021 & at regular scheduled times in the daytime to enable us to fit in with enhanced cleaning protocols. Closed for cleaning times are posted on the facilities doors however these times are flexible especially if the showers are busy.
  • SHOWERS We are operating with reduced shower availability to allow for sensible social distancing. There are allocated times for shower use which prioritise TENT CAMPERS & FAMILY USE. Doors and windows MUST stay open for best ventilation and to eliminate ‘touch’ issues. Shower curtains inside all shower cubicles have been removed. It is advisable that you have a waterproof bag to hang on the back of the cubicle door for your clothing. There are extra clothes hooks outside the individual showers also. We provide Sanitiser spray in these areas.
  • Disabled access toilet & shower room MUST be pre-booked to enable cleaning management.
  • HAND dryers are operational as is the HAIRDRYER in the ladies showers. Sanitiser wipes are available for you to wipe down after use.
  • Regrettably our camp kitchen ‘shared’ facilities (i.e. fridge/freezers) remain closed for the season. The risk involved with touch issues near other peoples food is considered much to high.
  • EHU If you need an electric hook-up point option please book.
  • Sanitiser is provided around the site. Please use!
  • Social distancing reminder signage is displayed.
  • HOT WATER WASH-UP AREA is outside and accessible.
  • LAUNDRY facilities are operational with restricted entry.
  • PPE – Please wear PPE gloves when emptying toilets and handling outside water taps. These areas are wiped down regularly and have sanitiser stations attached to them.
  • FRIENDS & FAMILY If you are camping with friends/family who are in a separate unit please respect the social distancing rules applicable at the time of your stay.
  • NO GUEST VISITORS are permitted on site. Please arrange meet-ups elsewhere.
  • If you have any Covid Symptoms or are self-isolating please do not come! If you develop symptoms or are contact traced whilst with us please ring 111 for advice and inform us. We have antigen tests on site if required.
  • BACKPACKERS. Due to the toilet situation Pre-booking will be essential to ensure a night-time toilet option is available to you. A single socket and a USB charge point will be available to Backpackers only to charge a phone.
  • We have completed a voluntary Covid-19 Risk Assessment to ensure safe-working practice which is on full display in our information area. This has been inspected by the licencing team at Cornwall Council.
  • All our usual T&C’s apply.
  • Thank you for your understanding.
