Social Distancing at Blue Hills Touring Park.

We have given some thought as to how we can put the required social distancing measures in place in the public area. We await specific guidelines for our type of business but feel below will be the minimum common sense measures to put in place. We will update this as and when we receive more details.

  • We will be operating slightly below our normal Pitch capacity once we open to allow further spacing on site. Our apologies to any of our regular guests who have booked if this means you can’t get into your ‘usual’ pitch this year. We’ll try but no guarantee.
  • We will offer contactless card payment for the balance of your stay.
  • IF we are able to open our toilet block there will undoubtedly be a ‘queuing’ system in place. The toilets WILL BE CLOSED OVERNIGHT after the last full clean of the evening and CLOSED when being cleaned in the day. TIMES OF CLOSURE WILL BE NOTED OUTSIDE IN ADVANCE. Having your own toilet/toilet tent may be a more suitable option for you, please advise if you wish to bring one, there’s no charge but we need to allow space.
  • We have adequate space for 2 persons washing up at a time in the undercover outside hot water wash-up sinks area but this year you need to supply your own bowls, washing up liquid and sponges, sorry!
  • Sadly our usual camp kitchen facilities will not be available i.e. fridge, freezers, kettle, toaster, microwave. If you need an electric hook-up point option to your unit i.e. to have your own kettle, tent fridge etc please let us know on booking. We think it will be possible to keep the laundry facilities open but will confirm as soon as we can.
  • Harleys Field gate will be open for dogs to play in using the usual guidelines of sensibly looking at who is already in the field. The smaller entrance gate will remain fixed open (avoiding any ‘touch’ issues). Doggy Den, our small reception area for dogs will be accessable via Harleys field only, the small campsite entrance gate to it will be kept closed.
  • Sanitiser stations will be placed around the site in areas where deemed necessary i.e. near outside taps, the chemical disposal area, toilet block etc.
  • We will NOT be operating our ‘basics’ shop this year. Also, please do not order supermarket deliveries. These must be prioritised in the local area for more vulnerable persons. Thank you.
  • We are not sure about the wetsuit dip area yet, will advise asap.
  • No-one from outside of your own unit should visit inside. If you are camping with friends in a separate unit please respect the 2 metre rule and meet outside each other’s units.
  • No guests visitors will be allowed on site. Please meet with people outside the site.
  • Please respect the site social distancing measures. We are also open to suggestions or observations but we cannot ‘police’ everyone. By reducing the pitch allowance on an already small park we hope all will work well and everyone enjoys their holiday.
