We are very proud to say we were voted by the public as the UK’s Most Dog-Friendly Camping & Caravanning site for 4 years running! (2015-2018) & nominated in 2019 & again in 2020 (awaiting result!)

  • We don’t limit the number of dogs as long as they are well managed on site
  • Dogs stay for FREE! (although we suggest a Doggy Donation to our chosen charity)

Facilities include:

  • Dog-Friendly playing field (Harley’s Field) available for well-behaved dogs
  • The ‘Doggy Den’ for not so well behaved!, new arrivals and those of a nervous disposition!
  • On-site poop bins
  • Spare doggy poop scoops and bags/buckets!
  • Doggy Hose down area (warm water)
  • Dog bowls/parking hooks dotted around the site
  • Immediate access to the beautiful South West Coast Path (recommend keep on lead)
  • Official Dog Pens allowed (subject to space availability,
  • Local Dog-sitters/ Walkers/Kennels for you to have a break – see below for links (dogs must not be left in units unaccompanied).

Our most Local Dog-Friendly beaches –

  • Trevellas Porth (10 mins walk) Small Beach, off lead all year around
  • Trevaunance Cove (St. Agnes, 25 mins coastal walk, 6 mins drive) on lead if busy on beach
  • a HUGE beach at Perranporth! (55 mins coastal walk, 8 mins drive) Off lead except July/August between 9am & 5pm.

We are on the bus route No. 87. They happily take dogs on the buses.

‘Harleys Field’ is surrounded by cornish walling & deep hedgerows. It’s entered via a lowered 5 bar gate directly off the touring park field. Dogs can enjoy a run & play off-lead. It’s been used for Agility & Dog training activities. Harley our border collie retired from doing agility but often enjoyed a little jumping play in his field!

On arrival after a long journey we suggest that you take your excited dog to visit ‘Harleys Field’ via ‘The Doggy Den’ through the small field shelter gate. It allows everyone to stretch the legs & to run around off-lead in the smaller enclosed & gated area without the risk of meeting other dogs until you’ve had a chance to familiarise yourself with others on site. Then you’re all refreshed ready to set up your unit!

This area can also be used at any time if your dog is of a more nervous disposition around others.

The fields are privately owned by the owners of Blue Hills Touring Park & the use of it is on the understanding that Dog owners are solely responsible for their dogs actions/activities.   It is used entirely at your own risk.  There are some beautiful walks around Blue Hills which may be more suited to some dogs  especially during busy times.

We don’t charge for Dogs to stay but you can leave a doggy donation in the charity pot if you’ve enjoyed the facilities.

We’ve supported Cornwall Air Ambulance (guests have donated almost £3k over the last few years!) every year. In 2019 we also supported ‘Cornwall Blood Bikes’ raising over £630 for this great charity.

Not everyone is so keen so keen on dogs so we just request that on the touring park itself they are kept on short leads & tethered/contained within your allocated pitch. We can accommodate official dog pens on some pitches outside of peak times.

Our Dogs love it at Blue Hills, they always know when we are nearly there, they go mad in the car!

LINKS FOR DOGGY DAY CARE/WALKERS… (as recommended by previous guests). It’s worth pre-booking their services during peak times!
